Underdogs No More: AC Milan's Path to UEFA Champions League Glory

By Alex Al-Kazzaz

The 2023-24 UEFA Champions League begins in about a month. The tournament's group stage draw takes place later this month, and the play-off qualifying phase will wrap up at the end of the month, and all competitors will be official. Wembley Stadium in London, England, is where the final takes place on June 1st, 2024.

Manchester City are the defending champions, having won their first title in June. The Citizens can retain their title and are determined to do it again. Real Madrid, the 14-time winners, are hungry for another glorious triumph and are never to be counted out. Bayern Munich could very well shock the world again and win their seventh title. The same thing can be said about AC Milan, who are looking for its eighth title.

AC Milan has to be the club that stands out the most as favorites go for this tournament. Milan's offensive attack is arguably the best in Europe, with the likes of Olivier Giroud, Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah, and Rafael Leão. Pulisic recently arrived from Chelsea. Musah came from Spanish Ligue 1 club Valencia. Overall, Milan has a plethora of talent in every category, meaning they have a complete team. Based on their recent purchases, it's clear Milan was determined to bulk up the team.

Milan's path to their first UCL triumph in over 15 years is challenging. The first step to winning a UCL title for any club is to have the determination and motivation to take on any challenge. The group stage may be regarded as the warm-up, but it'll be time to get serious when the knockout stage emerges. Every minute will count, and Milan knows that no opponent in the knockouts will be a walk in the park. Milan knows that winning one game at a time is the most effective way to do it. And to remain focused with a winning mentality through teamwork and chemistry.

Milan's last UCL triumph was in 2007. Last season, Milan reached the UCL's final four for the first time in 15 years. I Rossoneri is determined to begin a new era of dominance and success. Unfortunately, the club did not win any titles last season, so they're looking to rectify their failure this season. Milan is looking to hoist the Serie A title for the 20th time and their first Coppa Italia since 2003. The biggest goal is to hoist the UCL title.
