2026 New England Patriots Senior Bowl Watchlist

While the focus for the Patriots is clearly on the preparing for and hopefully winning the Super Bowl next weekend in Santa Clara, a bulk of the NFL worlds focus is current down in Mobile, Alabama for the annual Senior Bowl. Outside of the combine, this is one of the best, if not the best chance to get a look at upcoming prospects for the ensuing NFL draft, and despite the name, isn't exclusively a Seniors only affair anymore, with several juniors accepting invites this year. In any case, here's a handfull of names I'd keep an eye on as it strictly relates to New England.
Romello Height, EDGE (Texas Tech)
Texas Tech had the luxury this year of having not one, but two elite pass rushers in the form of likely top 20 pick David Bailey, and then Romello Height on his opposite flank. A sixth-year senior who's taken plenty of advantage with the transfer portal with stints at Auburn, USC, and Georgia Tech before arriving at Texas Tech, Height's speed and bend made him one of the tougher pass rushers to deal with in the nation despite being a bit undersized, listed at 6'2 and 234 lbs in addition to a lack of winspan/arm size. His run defense ability has been knocked. His size can definitely get him in trouble if his speed can't win, and he'll be 25 by draft day, but I'd imagine you'll be seeing his name called at some point on Day 2. He gave a pair of R1 caliber tackles out of Utah, Spencer Fano and Caleb Lomu, the blues earlier this year.
Derrick Moore, EDGE (Michigan)
Simply as a pure edge, Derrick Moore feels like a guy that the Patriots would be fairly interested in. About 6'3 1/2 and 254 lbs, Moore appears to be the next in a line of some very solid Michigan EDGE prospects, coming off the heels of Josaiah Stewart going top 100 last year, and just like him coming out of Ann Arbor, his pass rush production metrics are very good. His speed-to-power game pops off the screen, and you saw a bit of what he can do in the run game yesterday during the opening day of Senior Bowl drills (see below). MockDraftDatabase's consensus big board has him ranked as the 84th prospect in this class at the time of writing, but if he can keep up the good work from Tuesday and then carry that into the combine, Moore feels primed to potentially be a second-round selection come April.
Kamari Ramsey, SAF (USC)
Not exactly in the archetype of Troy Polomalu or Talanoa Hufanga, Kamari Ramsey is still a very enticing defensive back prospect who had to play closer to the line of scrimmage this year, but is definitely well-suited to play deep. Ramsey did a great job cleaning up in his one huge flaw area of missing tackles, going from a 20.3% miss rate all the way down to 3.2% in 2025, and showcased some really good downhill trigger ability and physicality despite hovering just under 200 lbs. He'd definitely make sense for New England, given his versatility, and getting another body who can play deep should be something they attack in some way or another.
Tyren Montgomery, WR (John Carroll)
I saw the John Carroll logo pop up on the Senior Bowl entry list this week and know for a fact that Josh McDaniels was somewhere comically salivating when someone in the Patriots scouting department gave him the news about Tyren Montgomery. Of all the kids down in Mobile, this is comfortably the most interesting case. He was a walk-on at LSU for not football, but basketball. He ended up going home, went to FCS school Nicholls State for two years (redshirted in year one), and then found a home at John Carroll these last two years, where he put up 15 TDs, 119 catches, and 1528 yards in 2025.
Montgomery been one of the biggest stories of the Senior Bowl so far, impressing mightily as a D3 guy against FBS competition, much like Quinn Meinerz of the Broncos did back in 2021. Bet the farm on the Patriots selecting him strictly for the John Carroll-McDaniels connection if they can help it, but this kid has something.
