Something Foul: Despite Loss, O'Connell, Vikings Continue to Unleash New Pokémon: Alopecia

DENVER- The Minnesota Vikings continued to impress Sunday despite dropping the night game against the Denver Broncos 21-20. The Vikings, who began the season 1-4, found themselves on a 5-game win streak despite losing Justin Jefferson for a quarter of the season and then, three weeks ago, losing starting quarterback Kirk Cousins for the remainder of the season. It was quite a blow to the team.

But head coach Kevin O'Connell had a secret weapon, which came in the form of Josh Dobbs in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals. Since then, Josh Dobbs has lit up the stat sheet with 647 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception in his four games while simultaneously leading the Vikings to a 2-1 record.

When asked after the game what makes Josh Dobbs so special, Kevin O'Connell couldn't help but mention, "It's gotta be the alopecia, right? He's been helping us win by a hair. I like to think that each hair he should have represents a win. It's honorable that he would sacrifice his hair for this team."

Needless to say, it's been impressive to see how Dobbs has settled into his new role, finally enabling him to "let his hair down," so to speak.
