Manchester United Pull off Incredible Upset: Barcelona OUT!

By Alex Al-Kazzaz

Last November, Barcelona was eliminated from the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League tournament. And now, they're officially OUT of the UEFA Europa League tournament. The La Liga leaders lost to Manchester United on a 4-3 aggregate result after a 2-1 loss to the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

Man U advances to the Europa League round of 16. In addition, this weekend, Man U takes on Newcastle United in the EFL Cup final. The Red Devils have a golden opportunity to win their first title since 2017. As of late, Man U has been fantastic and they're determined to keep the momentum alive.

Back-to-back seasons with disappointing finishes in both the Champions League and Europa League for Barcelona is bad for the team's reputation. With all the drama that the club has been going through for the last several years, the team is determined to rise back to the ranks of being one of Europe's best clubs. Man U has the same determination.

Barcelona will take on Real Madrid in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals on March 2nd. Aside from La Liga, the Copa del Rey is the only competition that Barcelona is still apart of. Last month, Barcelona did win the Supercopa de Espana and they're hoping to ease the pain a little by winning at least one more piece of hardware this season.
