A new season of football is finally underway as the Lions beat the Chiefs 21-20 to start it off. Lions’ head coach Dan Campbell is trying to quickly turn that franchise around as they look to win the NFC North for the first time since the realignment back in 2002. Looking back on Campbell’s past coaching jobs, he had the pleasure of being the assistant head coach for a specific team from 2016-2020 right before his first season with the Lions. This magnificent team is no other than the New Orleans Saints. How will Campbell’s old team do during week one of the new season? Just like the popular anime Attack on TItan, the Saints will have to figure out a way to send their week one opponent back to Tennessee.

Prediction
Originally, I looked at this game based on the Saints’ injury report and I pretty much was going to give the Titans this win, until I saw their injury report. In the past, the Saints have struggled finding good offensive linemen. After Terron Armstead left the team due to free agency back in 2022, the offensive line has never been the same. Year after year, New Orleans continues to pick first-round busts when it comes to offensive linemen. So when I saw that Ramcyzk was out, I figured Derek Carr would struggle during his first game with his new team.
However, Tennessee’s first-string and second-string wide receivers in DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks are out, meaning the Titans will have to rely heavily on their run game. With an aging running back in Derrick Henry who hasn’t been able to replicate his 2,000 yard season back in 2020, can the Titans attack the Saints on the ground? New Orleans allowed 130.4 rushing yards a game last season, ranking them 24th in the league. If Tennessee was somehow able to rush for 130 yards in this week one matchup, would that be enough to win? In my opinion,
I just don't think the Titans are going to be able to progress their way down the field due to lack of wide receiver depth. I believe this will be a fairly close game don’t get me wrong, but I don’t believe Tennessee has what it takes to go to New Orleans and beat my Saints. This will be a rushing attack vs. a rushing defense game and you know what they say, “Defense wins championships.”
Score
Saints 31 - Titans 21
