2024 King and Queen of the Ring Predictions

With King and Queen of the Ring taking place in a matter of hours, here's how I have the action going over in Saudi Arabia, with two Summer Slam title matches up for grabs in the titular named tournament finals, as well as a Smackdown Champion vs. Champion affair.

Undisputed WWE Championship - Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Logan Paul

This match seems very pushed. It doesn’t sound exciting because it’s only for one championship instead of two. Many fans wish this match would be a winner-takes-all, just like John Cena and Seth Rollins did nearly a decade ago. Instead, this one feels very predictable, but at the same time, we know that we’re expecting a fun outing with these two stars.

My Winner: Cody Rhodes

Women's World Championship - Becky Lynch (c) vs. Liv Morgan

This match also feels pushed, with Becky Lynch’s first title defense being against someone considered the next woman in line for the World Championship. I don’t see Liv Morgan beating Becky Lynch this early. At this point, Liv should’ve won the battle royale a few weeks ago on Raw for the Women’s World Championship.

My Winner: Becky Lynch

Intercontinental Championship - Sami Zayn (c) vs. Chad Gable vs. Bronson Reed

I think this match is an outright better option than another pure one-on-one match between Sami Zayn and Chad Gable. I don’t see Bronson Reed as a mid-card champion at the moment, and this feud between Sami and Gable has been something to see. There are two options for the outcome of this match: Chad Gable will become the epic heel by winning in a place where Sami is loved, or Sami will win clean.

My Winner: Sami Zayn

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship - Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair (c) vs Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell

Unfortunately, this will likely be a squash match to open the show. Give me the champs Cargill and Belair to retain.

My Winner: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill

King of the Ring Tournament Finals - Gunther vs. Randy Orton

This match can be considered a dream match by many. You have one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time, taking on one of the best workhorses in the company today. I can’t complain about who wins. We could see Randy win and turn heel on Cody Rhodes as a possible threat to Cody’s title reign, or we can see Gunther gain momentum back up after he lost in the IC Championship to Sami Zayn back at Wrestlemania 40.

My Winner: Gunther

Queen of the Ring Tournament Finals - Lyra Valkyria vs. Nia Jax

This is an exciting matchup as Nia Jax takes on the former NXT women’s champion Lyra Valkyria. I think it’s too early for Valkyria to get a big push in the main roster. As for Nia Jax, she’s been an unstoppable force since her return to the main scene, and this matchup could lead to her fitting right back into the main event scene after co-headlining Elimination Chamber with Rhea Ripley. This should be a fantastic matchup as we see two of the best in the women’s division going against each other in the final round.

My Winner: Nia Jax
